I did this as a warm up for a commission. It was hard to get color references for the princess but it was fun to make.
One Piece characters (The Straw Hats & Mermaid Princess Shirahoshi) is made by Eiichiro Oda. This is a harmless fanart to warm up my skills.

I had to swim Ms. Mayshing, swiiim on the waters of the internet!However, there was a spread that Mr. Oda did with her colors so I attempted to get those colors as close as I could interpret them. She's so cute right? :) And thank you!

This is cute. I like the mermaid scales and the composition of the image. I wish I could paint hair as lush as hers. Brushes, plz?

I actually made the brushes up ^-^u. For the hair, I took three dots and made them as a brush. I twisted them a little in the brushes options. I had to "rotate" them every time to make them look more natural and loose. Does that help? And thank you.

Uh, do you mean you rotate the image in Photoshop? Unfortunately, that option isn't available to me. Need an OpenGL graphics card for that. :(

Oh well that and also you can rotate the brush in brush options too (like changing the radius and rotation). I'm sorry you don't have the graphic card o-ouu. Sometimes my photoshop acts out a little about that too.
